REDCAP Joins the NVIDIA Inception Program

REDCAP Joins the NVIDIA Inception Program REDCAP is excited to announce its membership in the NVIDIA Inception program! REDCAP – NVIDIA working together, WOW!! Our metal-free hybrid supercapacitor, REDCAP, is engineered to buffer sudden power spikes during AI training or inference, stabilizing power delivery and reducing stress on critical equipment. This technology significantly enhances power system stability and helps extend the lifespan of infrastructure. Beyond peak-power management, REDCAP enables lower energy consumption, reduces electrical power requirements, increases operational availability, and improves overall system performance. Built on a fully European value chain, REDCAP aims to strengthen Western’s strategic autonomy in sectors that rely on robust power stability—such as grid management, security and defense, and data-center infrastructure. NVIDIA’s tools enable the accelerated development of new redox-active molecules and advanced materials for batteries through generative AI, physics-informed simulation, and multiscale optimization. With these tools, the new versions of REDCAP will have fabulous performance and amazing features!!!! #REDCAP #NVIDIA #NVIDIAInception

First REDCAP modules for the Spanish Ministry of Defence!

First REDCAP modules for the Spanish Ministry of Defence! Last March, the first REDCAP modules were delivered to the Spanish Ministry of Defence as a milestone in the project that started in 2021, when REDCAP was selected as a relevant technology for defence and security by the Directorate general of Arms and Materials in the Cooperation Program for Scientific Research and Development of Strategic Technologies (COINCIDENTE for its acronym in spanish).   During these years, Spanish Navy Logistic Support Head Office (JAL) has been acting as technical supervisor, while Subdirectorate General of Planning, Technology, and Innovation (SDG-PLATIN) has been acting as administrative supervisor.   This milestone demonstrates the viability of REDCAP as an energy storage dual technology, bringing independency to Europe in the security field by its fully local supply chain, having a great impact not only in energy supply but also in military operations and weapons.   Initial steps of this technology were a collaboration between REDCAP founding partners and IMDEA Energy Institute in Madrid since 2010, being the project a good example of collaboration between scientifics, companies, and defence, and how a dual technology can be a critical element for security and defence.   As a result and recognition of its relevant for the security of the western nations, this technology has aroused interest in European Defence Agency, NATO through its DIANA accelerator, USA Department of Defence through its Foreign Comparative Testing, and now it is part of the NOMAD project funded by European Union.

EIC Venture Building

EIC Venture Building At B5tec we are happy to announce that we have been selected for the second phase of EIC’s Tech to Market Venture Building programme! Particularly, we are participating in the Advanced Materials for Energy and Environmental Sustainability category. We are grateful for this opportunity to develop the potential of our REDCAP technology further. We are fortunate to participate in this project and receive the boost and feedback of innovation experts. The Venture Building programme consists of an intensive 4-phase road map with a 10-month duration. We have already participated in the Tech Demo Days, where we have presented our technology to innovation experts. Now that REDCAP has been selected to continue to the second phase, we will be working hand in hand with EIC’s market experts in the Opportunities exploration phase. We are motivated to learn and maximise the market attractiveness of our Redox Supercapacitor. Future steps will include Support for team creation and Venture support services. We are excited to continue this journey, improving our business offer and successfully taking on the energy storage market. We are proud to take further steps in the clean energy revolution with our REDCAP and the help of EIC Venture Building!
