B5tec

Founded in 2017, B5tec is a Spanish startup specialized in developing disruptive technologies to create energy storage devices.

The technology developed has achieved several certifications (UE Seal of Excellence or Bloomberg Pioneers finals) and is designed by a qualified and experienced R&D department, being pioneers through microfluidics and organic active spices.

Since its foundation, B5tec has been focused on developing organic active species that can replace metals in batteries performance. Lithium, cobalt, zinc, cadmium or nickel are widely used for the development of batteries and cells. 

In addition to being limited resources, they generate great environmental impact in the countries where they are extracted and with the batteries end of use when they are discarded.

This metal-free technological approach has allowed to create a sustainable, non-toxic, safe, affordable, and low-cost storage solutions. Last but not least: no supply chain issues.
